A post-doctoral candidate is seeked in the framework of the ACCLIMATE (Elucidating the Causes and Effects of Atlantic Circulation Changes through Model-Data Integration) ERC project. The project purpose is to elucidate the links between Atlantic circulation changes and climatic changes, in particular across the rapid climatic changes observed in marine sediment and ice cores over the last 40 thousand years. The ACCLIMATE project’s approach is to develop a paleoclimate data assimilation scheme using an isotope-enabled climate model. The data essentially consist in a set of consistently dated deep-sea sediment records of carbon and oxygen isotopic ratios over the last 40 ky. The successful candidate will join a research group consisting of 2 senior scientists, 2 postdoctoral assistants, one PhD student, one research engineer and 2 technicians...
