ANR EGOUT – The participatory research project in the press

The participatory research project in the 20th arrondissement of Paris received a great deal of media coverage.

The aim was to inform the general public about this “Scientific Adventure”. The aim was to inform residents of the 20th arrondissement about this “Scientific Adventure”, which involves asking them to change their eating habits (“eat more fruit and vegetables than usual”) for one week. The hypothesis put forward by the scientists is that this change can be detected by analyzing the district’s wastewater.
Has this information campaign, combined with work with pupils at the Ecole des Pyrénées since the start of the school year in September and the presence of the EGOUT project team at local markets, been enough to engage enough citizens? Will the analysis of wastewater enable us to perceive this change in practice?
Answer end of May/beginning of June….
