The GeoTrac team is equipped with an ECHoMICADAS (Environnement, Climat, Homme – Micro CArbon Dating System), integrated within the PANOPLY platform.
This is a low-energy gas accelerator coupled to an ultra-compact mass spectrometer for high-precision measurement of 14C/12C isotope ratios in solid or gaseous samples down to 10µg of carbon. This instrument is dedicated to research, development and training activities in 14C geochemistry and geochronology in the fields of Environmental, Climate and Human Sciences.
