Timing of Neanderthal occupations on the southeastern margins of the Massif Central

An international collaboration coordinated by the LSCE (CEA-CNRS-UVSQ) has produced a consolidated chronology of the main archaeological sites on the plateaux bordering the middle Rhône valley, dating from 300,000 to 40,000 years ago. This opens the way to a better understanding of Middle Palaeolithic human settlements in this region and their culture.
