In situ instruments for reactive gases

Presentation

The CAE team operates several instruments for in situ measurements of reactive gases in ambiant air (non-methane hydrocarbons, ozone, nitrogen oxydes, ammoniac).

Ammoniac analyser ProCeas NH3

The ProCeas NH3 instrument is a complete, pre-calibrated infrared laser spectrometer for measuring low concentrations of NH3. It allows direct on-line measurements with a time resolution of 10 sec. It relies on the OFCEAS laser infrared technology for a better specificity and selectivity to NH3, and a better measurement accuracy and stability (no drift of the instrumental response). It uses a patented low pressure sampling system. It is operated at SIRTA-LSCE station since March 2024.

COV analyser Aimovoc GC 866

The Airmovoc GC 866 analyser is a GC-FID (flame ionisation detector) chromatograph for the measurement of light hydrocarbon compounds with 2 to 6 C atoms.
