January 12, 2026: DeepSea’nnovation and BathyProf presentation at the RTCE-RTHP day
On Monday, January 12, at the IMPMC in Paris, a thematic day was held on measurement systems, instruments, and sensors intended for deployment in high-pressure environments, organized by the Environmental Sensor Technology Network (RTCE) and the High Pressure Technology Network (RTHP). The day brought together 20 researchers and engineers from both networks to discuss the issues raised by high pressures in instrument development, combining the transdisciplinary expertise of the two networks. Eva Ferreira, a postdoctoral researcher with the OCEANIS team, presented the DeepSea’nnovation project for the development of a benthic microprofiler for high pressures to perform in-situ measurements of oxygen in the deep sea. Labasse Berthé from DT-INSU in Gif-sur-Yvette also participated in this event with the aim of promoting DT-INSU’s activities and the services it offers, through a presentation on the development of the BathyProf project, carried out in collaboration with OCEANIS. These presentations were followed by a valuable discussion session addressing specific issues related to development, sensors, and leak testing, drawing on the expertise of all those present at the workshop and from various scientific communities.
