Presentation
“La Grande Échelle” aims to make the small and large spatial and temporal scales needed to understand climate phenomena and environmental issues fun and accessible. It’s an immersive experience in which participants use their bodies to move through time and space, get a better grasp of changes in scale and understand environmental issues thanks to this device, the fruit of collaboration between researchers, artists and developers. The first iteration of this installation looks at changes in the CO2 content of the atmosphere from 800,000 years ago to the present day, based on research carried out as part of the ICOS project.
