A collaboration involving the LSCE (CEA-CNRS-UVSQ) has revealed 54,000 years of occupation by Homo sapiens in a rock shelter in the Drôme, pushing back the arrival of our ancestors in Western Europe by 12,000 years.
Sapiens was already present in the Drôme 54,000 years ago!
