“Relationships between the deep Atlantic circulation and the hydrology of tropical regions: insights from Quaternary paleoclimate reconstructions”
Detailed paleoclimate reconstructions derived from analyses of marine sediment cores combined with climate simulation outputs provide a better understanding of the mechanisms governing the interactions between ocean circulation, the climate of tropical and polar regions, and ice sheets during Quaternary climate changes (2.6 Ma). This past, ongoing, and future research highlights, in particular, the link between deep-ocean circulation variability in the Atlantic and the continental hydroclimate of tropical regions in South America across different timescales.
