“Research into the future, heading for 2074” event

On Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June 2024, a weekend of meetings with scientists to explore the future

The world is changing. Sometimes in completely new directions. Would you like to know how we’ll be living in 50 years’ time?

The CNRS has mobilised more than thirty scientists who are experts in their fields to feed your curiosity and project you into the future. Over the course of two days, the researchers will help you decipher the societal issues of the future: man and his health, ecological challenges, the territories of the future, the world of work and space exploration.

In this context, we are pleased to announce that colleagues from the laboratory will be speaking at the following conferences:

  • Marc Delmotte and Valérie Masson Delmotte, on the round table entitled “What climate in 2074?”
  • Edwige Pons-Branchu, on the round table entitled “Water, a vital resource that will become increasingly scarce”
  • Elisabeth Michel, on the demo conference entitled “Understanding past climates to anticipate the future”
