ACSM – Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor

The ACSM from Aerodyne is a compact and autonomous mass spectrometer dedicated to continuous monitoring of non-refractory submicron aerosol particles. It measures in real time ther mas concentration and chemical speciation chimique, with a time resolution of 30 minutes.

Aethalometer AE33-7

The Aethalometer AE33-7 from Magee Scientific is a rackable automatic analyzer for the continuous monitoring of particulate black and brown carbon in ambien air. It is based on light absorption measurements at seven wavelentghs by aerosol particles collected on a filter. The maximum time resolution is one second.

Field analyzer SUNSET OC/EC for organic and elemental particulate carbon

The rackable SUNSET OC-EC thermo-optical analyzer measures the ambient particulate concentration of organic and elemental refractory carbon collected on quartz filters. Its time resolution is 30 minutes in continuous monitorig mode. It can also be used off-line to analyse filters collected separately.

Total carbon analyzer TCA-08

The analyzer TCA-08 from Magee Scientific is a rackable instrument for the continuous monitoring of the total carbon concentration in the ambient aerosol. It is based on the combustion of the particles collected on a filter and the detection of the CO2 produced. The time resolution is 20 minutes.

Aerosol particle mass concentration and size distribution analyzer FIDAS 200

The FIDAS 200 is an optical particle counter/sizer certified for the continuous monitoring of the PM2.5 and PM10 fine particle mass concentration in ambient air (particles smaller than 2.5 and 10 µm in diameter, respectively), operating at 0.3 m3 h-1. It measures the aerosol particle size distribution in 64 classes from 0,18 to 18 µm, and provides also PM1, PM4 and TSP (total) particulate mass concentrations.

Automated sequential aerosol sampler PARTISOL-Plus

The PARTISOL-Plus from Thermo Scientific is a low-volume (1 m3 h-1) automated sequential aerosol particle sampler on filters. It can be used with different sampling heads to select an appropriate cut-off size (PM1, PM2.5 ou PM10). It is generally used with a denuder to avoid the condensation of low-volatility gases on the filter. Chemical analyses of the filters are then possible in the laboratory.

Ion analyzer URG-9000D

The analyzer of ambient particulate ions URG-9000D is an autonomous sampling and ion chromatography analysis system for monitoring ambient concentrations of soluble ionic particulate and gazeous species (sulfate, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, ammonium, chlorure, potassium, magnésium, calcium, sodium, acide chlorhydrique, dioxyde de soufre, acide nitrique, et ammoniac). It is completed by a calibration bench generating aerosol of known composition.

Gravimetric analyzer TEOM-FDMS 1405-F

The TEOM-FDMS 1405-F is an automated gravimetric analyzer for real-time monitoring of the ambient aerosol particle mass concentration. It is based on a quartz micro-balance which continuously measures the mass particles deposited on a collection filter. The FDMS sampling system limits the loss of semi-volatile compounds. It provides a sliding hourly average every 6 minutes. We use two instruments with different sampling heads to monitor PM1 et PM10.
