The SNO ICOS-France-Atmosphere central calibration laboratory has several functions:
- Calibration of standard cylinders, which are then deployed at the SNO measurement stations
- Analysis of atmospheric air samples taken weekly in flasks at PUY, AMS and FKL stations
- Analysis of AirCores launched monthly from the Trainou station

The laboratory comprises two CRDS (Cavity Ring Down Spectroscopy) analyzers running in parallel: a picarro G2401 for CO2 and CH4 analysis, and a picarro G5310 for N2O and CO analysis. These analyzers are regularly calibrated on the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) international scale, with calibration cylinders supplied by NOAA. This calibration strategy enables us to meet WMO requirements and ensure the consistency of network measurements.
