INCA (INteraction with Chemistry and Aerosols) is a chemistry-aerosol model coupled to the general circulation model of the Laboratoire de Météorologie Dynamique (LMD), LMDz, which interactively simulates the distribution and evolution in the atmosphere of long-lived greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O), the chemistry of tropospheric ozone in the gas phase and different types of aerosols. INCA is being developed at the French Climate and Environmental Sciences Laboratory (LSCE) in collaboration with other laboratories at the Institut Pierre-Simon Laplace (IPSL).
