Introduction: Researcher CEA at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement, I work on the interactions between human activities, climate, and the environment over recent decades. My research focuses in particular on the impacts of land-use changes during the Anthropocene, in connection with agricultural intensification in different regions of the world (France, Uruguay, Brazil, Lao PDR, Mayotte). I analyse their effects on the degradation of water and soil resources, as well as on biodiversity, using sediment archives. I am also interested in the impacts of wildfires on socio-ecosystems, particularly in the Mediterranean region and in Japan.
Keywords : Critical zone, Anthropocene, sedimentology, sedimentary archives, catchment monitoring, sediment tracing, forest fires, agricultural expansion/intensification, deforestation, eDNA
